Fireworks, Pioneer Day, and a Visit from the Fam

I still haven't gotten used to there being another holiday in July besides 4th of July so usually our plans aren't very exciting. The night before we went to dinner with Tyler and Nicole at Pizza Factory and then went back to our house to light fireworks. Tyler found a huge bag of fireworks still in the packaging by the dumpster at his apartment. Come to find out they were from Wyoming which means that most of them are illegal in Utah. We lit them anyway and most of them were pretty cool. Nicole and I were a little nervous because they were flying all over the neighborhood and one bottle rocket shot right past Bryce and I.

I absolutely hate spiders! The other night I went into the garage to put Bryce's clean car seat in and I turned around to see a huge spider. This time I am not exaggerating how huge this thing was. It's body was a least the size of a quarter then add on the legs. Russ was at the gym and I wasn't going to kill it. I opened the garage door hoping one of the neighbors was outside and I could get them to kill it. Just as I opened it I saw my visiting teacher walking up with a treat. She got a shovel and killed it. She was seriously was an answer to my prayer.

Pioneer Day: Russ had to work so Bryce and I went to check out Lehi resident appreciation day but he was too little to play on any of the bounce house so we went and got a snowie instead. He loved it!

My family came Friday night to be here to watch Russ and I finish our half marathon. Russ and I were pretty tired so we spend most of the weekend hanging out at home. Tanner took Nana for a ride on his motorcycle and she LOVED it. It was like she was a teenager again. She told him he was going too slow and wanted to keep riding forever!

I got a new rug! I was a little nervous about going so bold but I absolutely love it and it is growing on Russ. I got it on rugsusa.com 50% off and free shipping. It wasn't too bad for this giant, gorgeous rug.
