Showered

I was so blessed to have 3 baby showers. The first was with my friends hosted by Chelsea and Lauren. The theme was Misty is ready to pop. It was so cute and I was so happy to see so many of my friends there. I got so many cute things! Thanks everyone.

 Boppy from Ashley
 Football Blanket from Gabe
Tiny Blue Toms from Tanner and Lauren
My sister-in-law Sara along with Russ' mom, two sisters and my other sister in law hosted a shower for me the next weekend. My mom and Nana were here also to help my brother move into his new house and were able to come to the shower. Russ' Aunt Janet and cousin Holly came down from Woodscross to spend the afternoon with us. It was great to have a family shower.Nicole did a game called baby price is right where she had baby items and we had to guess how much each cost. It was really fun and the good news is I way over guessed on the price of things. Sara also did a game where we went around the room and popped balloons with questions in them and I received a lot of good advice from everyone.

This past Friday my dental office, Stonehaven, had a shower for me and another girl who was due in two weeks. I didn't work on Friday but when I showed up to the shower they told me that the other girl had gone into labor and wasn't going to make it. Lots of people stayed and hung out for the shower. Every department got together and got me a gift.
I feel so blessed to have so may great people in my life. I am so thankful for everyone who is excited to meet our little guy and were so generous in giving us gifts. A SPECIAL THANKS to everyone who hosted the showers. THANK YOU everyone for all the wonderful gifts!

30-36 weeks

I am finally almost done. I have to admit being pregnant hasn't been that terrible although I am definitely ready to be not pregnant. I am so excited/nervous to meet this baby boy. Everything has been going well. I have still been working 4 days a weeks and everything is going smoothly. My lower legs, ankles and feet have been swelling and resemble elephant legs. The doctor said my blood pressure is good and so there is not much I can do about the swelling except elevate my legs. We pretty much have everything ready for the baby and now we are just counting down. I am the type of person that likes to have a plan and it is very difficult for me to not know when this baby will arrive. The first time the doctor checked me I was 1.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced and the second time I was almost to a 2. I am glad things aren't progressing too quickly because Russ will be gone March 12 and 13 on a business trip to California. His boss told him I had to okay the trip, which I did, but now I am having second thoughts. He promised to get on the next flight home if anything happens. I have already convinced myself that the baby isn't coming until they induce me on the 30th but it still makes me a little nervous. It will take my mom 8 hours to get here but Tanner, Lauren, and Russ' family are all here if I need anything. Here is a picture of the elephant legs. The dent is where my leg was resting on my other shoe.

Weeks 25-29

I really don't see how this belly could get any larger but I know it will. It doesn't feel like there is much room left in there but the doctor said he is going to double his weight in the next 10-11 weeks. Right now I am loving feeling him move around but not the jabbing me in the ribs. The other morning when I woke up Russ said he couldn't believe how much the baby was moving while I was sleeping and also couldn't believe it didn't wake me up. I am officially in my 3rd trimester and everything is going good. I feel pretty uncomfortable while sitting or sleeping, almost like there isn't enough room in my body. I have been working 4-5 days a week and I get pretty tired but not like I did in the first trimester. The doctor told me that it only gets worse from here on out because I will just get more and more uncomfortable. I have started to panic slightly thinking about all the things I need to get done before he arrives but Russ is always there to calm me down and let me know it will be okay. We are both so excited and can't wait to meet our baby boy.

2012

Clearly this experiment did not go perfectly but we will know what to do next time!

Christmas 2011

This year we spent Christmas in Utah. My mom and dad came up and we spend Christmas Eve with them and Tanner and Lauren then we spent Christmas day with Russ' family in Santaquin. This is our 3rd Christmas in Utah. We open presents from each other on Christmas Eve and then open Santa presents Christmas morning. We started a few new traditions when we are in Utah. We go to a movie, this year we saw Sherlock Holmes, then we go out to diner at Outback and we end the night by opening gifts.

I was a little nervous when my Nana said she picked out tennis shoes for me but she picked the exact ones I wanted! My mom gave me some perfume and money for clothes after I have the baby. Russ gave me a pair of earrings and a gift certificate for a massage.
 The famous silver Nordstrom box.
Every year I make my mom a photo calendar.
Russ was super spoiled this year... he got a Glock .40

 Tanner got an ipad 2
Russ is extremely hard to buy for so this year I surprised him with tickets to Jazz vs Kings. He got Jimmered!
Tanner and Russ think they are Tango and Cash.
We had a delicious Christmas dinner with the Hunsakers in Santaquin. All of Russ' family was there. Kim got a dance game for her xbox so everyone spent the day dancing. We had a great time!

We opened presents with Addi on Friday before Christmas.
