The festivities continued all week. . Wednesday night we went down to Santaquin and stayed the night at Russ' parents house so we could get up early and go boating. We had a nice evening sitting on the porch talking and looking at stars and fireworks throughout the valley. On the 4th (Thursday) we got up and headed out to Mona Reservoir. It wasn't too hot and we all had fun wakeboarding and we took Bryce tubing again. He loved it this time and even swam in the lake with Russ.

Russ had a great run on the wakeboard. He couldn't crash and got so tired he just let go of the rope!
Eating crackers with Grandma and Kris
Me, hitting a sweet jump.
He loved tubing this time. Didn't even cry once!
Swimming with Dada in the lake.
He finally got enough lake for one day.
We spent most of the afternoon at Russ' parents. We had a BBQ and just hung out. Usually we all go to a BBQ in his parent's old neighborhood in Orem for the 4th but Kim and Kristen went to Stadium of Fire this year. We went home around 4 and showered and relaxed a bit. We planned for weeks to ride our bikes up near Thanksgiving Point to watch their fireworks so we loaded Bryce into the chariot and grabbed some drinks and chairs and headed out. We ended up riding our bikes about 10 miles to get near the fireworks. It was fun but a lot farther than we expected. The chariot doesn't hook onto Russ' bike for some reason so I had to pull him the entire way. We finally found a spot that we could see and set up our chairs. It was actually really cool because there was no one else around and we could see fireworks lighting up the sky all over Saratoga Springs, Lehi, American Fork and maybe down to Orem. We took a different route home and that was only 6.5 miles. Next year we will probably just drive to Olympic Park and watch them from there. Russ' refuses to go all the way to Thanksgiving Point because the traffic gets really bad on the way home.
Russ took Friday off so we had the whole day to spend together. We ate brunch at the Waffle Love truck. I have heard so many good things about it so I had to try it. It was really good but it took forever and was kind of pricey. I would eat it again if there was a much shorter line. After that we took Bryce up to the Alpine Splash Pad. He loved it of course and tired himself out!
Bryce thought he made friends with this little boy but the little boy spent the whole time shooting Bryce with that water gun.
Friday evening we went to the Annual Famous Firework Derby put on by some of Russ' friends. It is actually really fun to watch but a little dangerous. Sometimes the fireworks fly off the cars into the crowd but luckily no one was hurt. Maybe next year Russ and Bryce can make a car.
Saturday we ran in the morning, mowed and cleaned house. Kristen came over and babysat in the afternoon so Russ and I could go see World War Z. It was a good movie and it was even better to go out just Russ and I!
Today I got up and made breakfast burritos. I always think that I want to get up early and make breakfast every Sunday but its so hard to get up early on the one day I can kinda sleep in. We are still nursery coordinators and still not loving it. I really want to like my calling but it is sooooo hard to like this one. We are over all the teachers so we take kids to the bathroom, find subs, clean up the throw up, buy the snacks and create the class rosters. I keep hoping one day we will love it or get released. I girl can dream, right?!
