It has been so hot this week! 100+ and apparently we are breaking heat records into next week. My car said it was 106* at 6pm Friday and 91* at 10pm Saturday night! We didn't let the heat keep us inside, although maybe we should have. Friday during the day Tanner and I took Addi and Bryce to the Riverwoods splash pad! The kids really enjoyed it. Especially Bryce because it was nonstop water fun!
Friday night we went to the Lehi Roundup Rodeo. We went for the first time last year and it will definitely be a yearly tradition in our house. Hopefully next year Bryce will be old enough to enjoy it. This year he stayed home and Addi asked it we could go to a quieter rodeo so Brycey could come too.

Saturday we went for a run {ahhh running, that will be another post} and headed over to the Lehi Roundup Parade. For some reason Russ says he hates parades but he went anyway and last about 45 minutes with only a moderate amount of complaining. In his defense it was probably already 95* at 10 am. Lauren and Addi came and she begged to stay and see the whole thing but it really was too hot for Bryce. We spent the afternoon finishing up the second season of Homeland and relaxed. We topped the day off by heading up to Bountiful to our friends son's first birthday party. We swam in the pool and had a BBQ. The party was circus themed and sooo cute! The cake was seriously the most amazing cake I probably have ever seen in real life! Great job Katie.

On the way home we stopped at Walmart to get groceries. We woke Bryce up and pushed him through the store while we shopped. He seemed to be doing okay until he started whimpering a little and resting his head on the cart handle. I assumed he was just tired after a long day and only one short nap. I held him while we check out and walked out the door. Just as we walked out he threw up all over himself, me and the sidewalk! I felt so bad for the little guy. It scared him and he must not have felt well. As soon as we took off his clothes and put him in his car seat he fell asleep. I still don't know if he was just so tired and had too much sun or if he was really sick. He came home, had a bath and fell right to sleep. Today he is just fine! I am hoping it was just a fluke and not the stomach flu!
Today we are BBQing like we have done everyday since we bought the grill! I love the easy clean up and Russ is definitely more involved in the cooking!
