Lake Powell

I finally went to Lake Powell. Everyone talks about how amazing it is and they are right. It is a beautiful place and the weather was perfect while we were there. Our trip was quite the adventure but overall it was fun! I am so glad we went and I hope to return. After all the hiccups we had I am not sure how soon we will go back.

Russ, Bryce and I went with Kim, Kirk, Kristin, Tyler, Nicole and Nixon. On the drive down the axle broke on the trailer. The boat and trailer had to be towed and fixed. The next day was perfect! We were out on the lake all day swimming, wakeboarding, tubing and knee boarding. We took one last cruise and ran out of gas! It was evening and starting to get dark but luckily someone towed us in and everything was fine. The next day we started out going to the Rainbow Bridge. The scenery was beautiful but it was a very long way and we ran out of gas again on the way back. We bummed enough gas off of a house boat to get the the gas station. Just as we started wakeboarding we were stopped for tramp riding and because we didn't have a proper floatation device, a working fire extinguisher nor proof of insurance we were banished from the lake until we had those things. It was late afternoon so we didn't miss out on much of the day. The next day we packed up and headed home. On the way home we stopped at Gobblin Valley and explored a bit.
