July
Gabe and I finally got pedicures we had been planning to get since April. We enjoyed a relaxing pedicure and dinner. She is having her second baby boy in October. I hope she never, ever moves but I am sure they will one day but until then Bryce and I will enjoy having our friends close.
Wore my patriotic dress to church. After I saw this picture I realized my brother is right, I really do look like I stole Bryce or I am his nanny. I love his adorable red hair and wouldn't trade it for the world. Bryce has gotten so good at folding his arms for prayers and recognizing on his own when we are praying. He will also repeat short, simple prayers. It melts our hearts!
Bryce is obsessed with Star Wars and Darth Vador. He came home one day from the babysitter's house and kept saying "Luke, I am your father." He is hilarious!!! He also started saying bomb.com
We are still training for our race that is July 19. Bryce always asks to go running. I think it is because there is a model airplane flight area along the running path and he loves to watch them fly. Saturday we stopped an let him watch them for about 15 minutes.
He got hand, foot and mouth disease again! He got sick Wednesday so Russ stayed home Thursday with him and Friday we noticed the sores. By Saturday they had gotten so bad that we took him to the pediatrician because we were concerned it was chicken pox. He has been vaccinated but the sores were all over his whole body and continued to develop. The doctor said it wasn't chicken pox and we were right the first time with hand, foot and mouth. It is a week later and he still has scabs and sores. hopefully it heals soon because we have family coming and we haven't been able to do anything fun.
We finally got our bikes out Sunday and took a ride around the neighborhood. We figured it's only 2.6 miles to the cemetery so we plan to ride there instead of drive.
I am working on some tiny baby blankets to take to the hospital on my due date. With it fast approaching I am so anxious and sad. Russ and I were talking and he said it just feels like someone is always missing. I hate that she isn't here with us. I hate that we wont get to watch her do all the things Bryce is doing. I also got my photo books of her pictures! I absolutely love them. I love having something tangible to remind me of her.
I got strep throat 4 days before our half marathon. I took my antibiotics and rested while Bryce stayed with Lauren. I was able to run the race but I was disappointed my time was the exact same as last year. Russ did great! He ran with me for about the first 7.5 miles then he got ahead of me when I went to the bathroom. I guess technically with a potty stop, I was faster than last year. We had several friends run the race to so it was awesome to cheer each other on!
Sherri and her kids came to town for 11 days. It was a non-stop party. We did everything there is to do in Utah county for kids.
