4th of July

We had a great July 4th. We kicked off the weekend at the annual Firework Derby. I know I said this last year but next year we will make a car to enter. Bryce wasn't scared this year but he didn't like how loud they were.

We went boating with the Hunsaker Family on the south end of Utah Lake at Lincoln beach. Bryce rode in the tube with Russ and loved it. He cried when he first got in the water but warmed up to it quickly. Russ and I both wake boarded and I tried knee boarding. It was harder than I thought to pull myself up but I got it. It was our first time boating this year and it was a blast! Russ' parents keep saying they are going to sell their boat but we sure hope they don't. Just in the years I have known them we have made such fun memories together on it and I hope Bryce will get to grow up with that too.

After boating we had lunch with Tyler and Nicole then went home for a nap. We got some dinner then headed over to see Olivia. We took sparklers for her. I love that we live close enough to go over and see her often and celebrate holidays with her. It is important to me that she is included in our celebrations. We saw the most beautiful sunset on the way.

We ended the night watching Thanksgiving Point fireworks from a nearby park. Bryce chased his glow necklace the entire time and Russ got eaten by mosquitoes. I can be sitting right next to him and not get one bite. I guess he is sweeter than I. We also tried some sparkler writing.

Saturday we had a second fourth of July with our friends. We had filets cooked on their Traeger grill, lit fireworks and watched the fight. Bryce actually held a sparkler and Audrey helped figure out how to take a sparkler picture.
