January

We have had amazing weather this January. We haven't had to shovel once and today it is almost 60*. I always find January a bit depressing because Christmas is over and there isn't much to look forward to, but this year it has been different. We have kept busy and tried harder to enjoy our time just as it is.

As always we have spent a lot of time at Thanksgiving Point. The membership we buy there is worth every penny. Bryce and I generally go there at least once each week.

Russ took Bryce one day while I was at work.
Russ and I went with some of our friends from the neighborhood. It was our first time seeing Olivia's name on the wall. It is beautiful! Russ and Scott had fun testing out their skills on the kids challenges with the kids played together. We ended the night with some ice cream while Bryce serenaded us.

Let it gooooooooooooooo

We took Bryce's best friend, Jace, with us one day. These two could play forever. As we walked out they had a heart tree where you hung a heart that said what you loved on it. Bryce said he loved ice cream and candy. Jace said he loved transformers.

Bryce and I have also gone by ourselves during my days off. I love that we live so close. It is a great way to burn some energy and play together.

My little engineer.
Russ took a work trip to California for 3 days. During those three days Bryce had some serious potty troubles. He hadn't peed his bed during potty training but all the sudden he started peeing the bed and having poo accidents too. I was so frustrated. Finally, I got him some fiber gummies and miralax and it seems we have it under control. On the last night Russ was gone we went out to dinner to Buffalo Wild Wings with Tyler and Nicole and Nixon.

Russ and I accomplished our temple goal for January at the Draper temple. I'm hoping we can visit some temples that we haven't been to yet.

I took Bryce up to the aquarium one day. I continue to feel like someone is missing from our little family but on that day I enjoyed spending time with just Bryce. I appreciated him and our special time together. He is so adorable and I am trying harder to soak in each and every moment with him. He asked the penguin if he liked milky or water better. He was terrified of the sharks but kept running back to see them. I love his personality and his vigor for everything in life!

I am still working 3 days each week. I love the people I work with and what I am doing but I miss my little Brycey. I love days when I get to clean someones teeth like this. Before one the left and after on the right.
Lunch with the girls I work with. Sushi burrito... too much sushi but pretty delicious.

Bryce went to a Spiderman birthday party and got to spray silly string at the bad guy. He was a little bit afraid but his daddy held him and helped him.
It is silly but I am always surprised as what Bryce comes up with. Last week he told Russ he wanted to walk backwards into the church.
We had a fun cousin day. We met all the cousins and Grandma Hunsaker at the dollar theater in Spanish Fork and saw Penguins of Madagascar. I love that they all live so close and get to see each other fairly often.
We went on a double date with a couple of our friends to a climbing gym. It was so fun! It was actually bouldering so you aren't strapped in anyway. It was sort of hard and a bit scary but we all enjoyed it and would do it again!

Bryce went to a black and white party. He is such a little stud hanging with the big kids. His friend Lexi turned 6 and Bryce put the moves on her baby sister.

Russ' baby sister Kristin got engaged. They are getting married June 27. We couldn't be happier for her and Brian.

Whats Bryce up to:

  • Very picky about which underwear he wears (Storm Trooper ones are his favorite)
