Mother's Day

I had a great first Mother's Day. Russ brought me cereal in bed and watched Bryce while I took a long shower and got ready in peace. After church we went and had a picnic in the park. It was so nice to spend the day with my two favorite guys. Russ got me flowers and a thin gold ring. He also helped Brycey put his fingerprint on my mother's day card. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a mother. It is a challenging responsibility but I would never give it up. No one ever tells you how hard it is to be a mother but I think it is because the difficulty is overshadowed by the greatness of it all. I have had perfect examples of mothers in my life and can't wait to use all that I have learned while I mother my own children.

 

Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels.
