We went up to Afton for the Hunsaker Family Reunion! They had been doing them annually until Grandma Hunsaker passed away several years ago. This was the first one they have had since her passing. She would have been 100 this year. It was nice to see most of Russ' aunts and uncles and several cousins. We decided to go camping after and make a weekend out of it. Chad, Sara and their kids stayed with us. We had so much fun hiking to Intermittent Springs and visiting around the campfire.
It isn't a full visit to Star Valley without a stop at the F diamond barn on the property where Kirk's, my father in law, family barn is.
The family reunion consisted of lunch, stories about Grandma and Grandpa Hunsaker (Russ' grandparents) and making visors like Grandma Isabell used to wear.
The hike to Intermittent Springs was short and pretty easy. The very end got a little steep but it was beautiful!
We had the most beautiful campsite right next to the river. Sara made delicious tin foil dinners and the kids had fun watching movies in the tent and roasting marshmallows.
On the way out of town we stopped by and visited Russ' grandparents and great grandparents graves. It was a tiny, peaceful little cemetery.
