December was a blur. I think this time of year always is between Christmas parties, shopping, and all the preparations that go into the Christmas season.
We celebrated Jace's, Bryce's best friend, second birthday with a little pizza, shooting hoops and Thanksgiving Point Holiday Lights.
Lauren, Bryce and I shopped until we dropped. Bryce didn't love it so much but we made it through with a little help from a jacked DP from Slurp.
I may or may not have gotten a little crazy with our tree this year. I finally gave in to Russ and agreed to buy a fake tree. We have had an artificial tree since we have been married but I always thought once we had kids and bought a house big enough for a large tree, we would go to the tree lot and get a real one. I found the most beautiful, real-ish looking 9.5 ft tree at Home Depot. After I ordered it I got really worried it would be too big for our house but it wasn't and it turned out to be perfect!
Bryce pooped in the tub for the first time. It was terrible. I gagged the entire time I scooped the chunks out of the tub. I am hoping this is a one time only event.
Bryce has really started to love "moman". Moman is Spider Man, Iron Man or Batman.
Russ, Tanner, Lauren and I went to the Forgotten Carols at UVU. I was so surprised when it was Russ' idea. He said he has always loved the music from it and played me a few songs on youtube first. It was a fantastic show and now I want the soundtrack.
My work Christmas party was at Jack and Jill's bowling alley. We had lots of fun, pizza and bowling. I really love all the people I work with and I was so happy to spend some time outside of work with them. I'm really terrible at bowling but Bryce enjoyed it. I also lost him twice. Once I had to go into the men's bathroom to get him. He is so fast with those tiny little legs. We gave our bosses each a wooden bear that my dad carved and a few gift cards to dinner and stay at the Anniversary Inn. We all got our Christmas bonuses which was one of the best parts.
We saw a few different Santas this year. After we did the Flotofly Santa they had a regular Santa. Bryce was afraid of him at first but once he saw a little girl giving Santa a high five he had to get in on it too. We also went to see Santa and eat dinner at the Riverwoods with some friends. Bryce did pretty good with this Santa but only because he was in a daze. My mom also took him to the mall to see Santa with Addi and she said Bryce ran right up to Santa. I guess it only took 3 visits before he wasn't creeped out by the guy in the red suit.
I can't get over how cute this kid looks in a baseball hat. He just makes my heart melt.
We had a play date at the Kangaroo Zoo. Bryce was a chicken-baby at first but finally warmed up to the tall slides. Bryce's friend, Millie, showed him up by climbing the high slides all by herself.
We babysat Jace a few times the past couple weeks because his dad had finals and his mom was working. I'm not sure what I was thinking taking these two to the dinosaur museum a few weeks ago but I did it. No one got lost and we made it home in one piece. They did want to run opposite directions most of the time and Jace didn't want to play in the sand but overall it was a fun activity. Next time I think I will go with another adult to keep from exhausting myself.
We had an early Christmas with Addi since she this was her year to be with her mom. She was spoiled as usual and Jace and Bryce even got to open one present.
We were lucky enough to have a white Christmas this year! It snowed the weekend before Christmas. Bryce and Russ enjoyed playing outside.
one more cute picture of the little guy!
Yuck I hope for you thats the last time he poops in the tub too ;) I love the pic of Brycey by the tree!
