Home Sweet Home...

As most of you don't know Russ and I are building a house in Lehi. We have been so busy with getting ready for the baby and his arrival that we haven't really said much about it so here it is. We knew we wanted to start looking for houses some time this year but when we found the one it happened so quickly. We were in Lehi one day and Russ said he wanted to go look at some houses so we spent the afternoon looking at Salisbury and Edge homes on Pioneer Crossing. We fell in love with the Salisbury model home but we didn't but a deposit down. We went back the next week and the prices went up 20k and the lot we wanted to reserve was already taken. Needless to say I was not a happy girl. Eventually the sales agent worked with her boss to get the price back down to the original price and we found a lot we liked even better. We went back and forth for weeks trying to decide if we should take the leap or not. We finally signed the papers and then we just had to wait to get the building permit. I work about 3 minutes away so I stopped by every so often and one day I showed up and they had dug the footings! Since then everything has gone so quickly. Salisbury builds their homes in 45 days. It should be done by the end of the week and we should be able to move in next week. Here are a few photos of the progress.
