Russ and I went camping to Zion National Park over Memorial Day weekend with our friends Chad and Julie and their 2 year old little boy Weston. They have a pop up trailer and it was definitely luxurious camping. We slept on a queen size bed and had hot meals every night for dinner.
Zions is a beautiful place. We went on a couple of hikes and saw a lot of the park. Russ and I hiked up to Angel's Landing. Let me tell you a little bit about this hike...
- 5 miles round trip
- 1488 ft
- (according to the hiking guide) Strenuous: Long drop-offs and narrow trail. NOT FOR ANYONE FEARFUL OF HEIGHTS. Ends at summit high above Zion Canyon floor. Last .5 mile (0.8 km) follows a steep, narrow, ridge; chains have been added.
Way to go Misty! I have no desire to ever do Angel's Landing, I'm too chicken. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome! Way to go! I think it would be so cool to do Angel's Landing. One day. Your pictures are beautiful!
